BIOGRAPHY

Carol Vitéz began his violin studies with Prof. Gratiela Negrutiu at the age of five and continued with Prof. Octavian Nicolaevici (a student of George Enescu and Vasile Filip). He then studied at the University of Vest in Temeschburg / Romania with Prof. Octavian Nicolaevici. He passed the state exam at the University of Music and Theater Rostock / Germany with Prof. Liviu Casleanu.
Already at the age of twelve, he debuted as a soloist with the Banater Staatsphilharmonie Timişoara / Timisoara with the concerto for violin and orchestra by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
After winning numerous prizes at national and international competitions, he received scholarship from several master classes at world-famous musicians, among others. Ida Haendel, Ruggiero Ricci, Valery Gradow, Leonidas Kavakos, Stefan Gheorghiu, Sherban Lupu, Petru Munteanu and Igor Ozim.
As a music teacher, he is invited as a guest professor in several master classes and wrote the methods of “intonation of the violin” and “intonation of the viola”.
As a soloist, conductor or composer he performs with numerous orchestras such as the Romanian National Philharmonic “George Enescu” Bucharest, Târgu Mures State Philharmonic, Satu Mare State Philharmonic Orchestra, Europa Philharmonic, Orquesta Europeea Mediteraneea, Orquesta Internacional de Madrid, Orquesta Sinfonica Stradivari – Madrid, the North German chamber orchestra, as well as the National Philharmonic of the Republic of Moldova, with famous conductors, among others With Theo Wolters, Emil Simon, Robert Houlihan, Ulrich Backofen, Cristian Florea, Peter Oschanizky and Remus Georgescu.
He has been a frequent guest at several music festivals worldwide as well as on television and radio.
